There is one word that can sum up my son's pediatrician: Amazing! He truly is a god send to us. Aside from when he thought that our son's reaction at first was not a milk allergy but rather a virus. This was an honest mistake considering the fact that it is rare for children to have food allergies. However, since than he has been nothing but amazing.
During my son's first year appointment we described to the doctor all the symptoms that our son still had including the constant vomiting every day and the fact that he still wasn't growing. We also mentioned that our allergist of the time didn't know what was going on and didn't seem to care to find out what was the problem.
This was when our pediatrician changed our son's life. He said to things. The first is that it was probably time to go to National Jewish and see a specific allergist who will be able to give us more services. The second thing was that he told us that our son might have Eosinophilic Esophagitis.
Because of this doctor our son was put onto a fast track for diagnosis. I do not believe that if he hadn't told us about the diesease and then refered us to a doctor who actually knows about the disease with which our son was ultimately diagnosed.
If it wasn't for our Pediatrician I don't know if we would have come to a diagnosis yet.
